How We Clean

Pre-Inspection

Our technicians will walk through your home with you and take note of any areas of concern.

Pre-Treatment

The process starts by using a prespray solution designed for carpet. This solution is designed to loosen soil and spots so they can be removed during the rinse and extraction step.

Rinse & Soil Extraction

With the use of a special tool called a wand. Hot pressured water is used to rinse the carpet and a powerful vacuum lifts the soil, spots and water out of your carpet.

Post-Spot

Any spots or stains still remaining will get extra treatment with our many special spotting solutions.

Speed Dry

When needed high velocity air movers are placed on the carpet immediately after cleaning to promote faster drying.

Post-Cleaning Inspection

The Troff Technician will go over the cleaning results to make sure that you are completely thrilled with the job.

We recommend professional cleaning at least once a year. However, if you have pets, children, or high foot traffic, you may need to schedule cleaning more frequently.

How long does it take for the carpet to dry after cleaning?

Typically, it takes about 4-12 hours for your carpet to dry completely. This can depend on the carpet material, thickness, and the current weather and humidity levels.

Can you remove all stains from my carpet?

Our experienced technicians are equipped to handle a variety of stains from common household spills like coffee, wine, and ink, to more stubborn stains such as oil and paint. While we utilize state-of-the-art cleaning techniques and solutions that can remove a wide variety of stains, some stains, especially if they have set for a long time, may not be completely removable.

Will carpet cleaning get rid of pet odors?

Yes, our cleaning process helps to eliminate pet odors by reaching deep into the carpet fibers where pet hair and dander reside. However, severe cases may require specialized treatment.

Is the carpet cleaning process safe for my children and pets?

Absolutely. We use eco-friendly, non-toxic cleaning solutions that are safe for both children and pets.

I've had a spill on my carpet, what should I do immediately?

It's best to avoid store-bought cleaning products as they often leave a residue that's hard to remove and can continue to work on your carpet beyond the cleaning process. Instead, simply use clean water or a diluted white vinegar solution – about one part white vinegar to ten parts water. Always remember to test any cleaner on an inconspicuous area of the carpet to ensure it doesn't cause any damage. Prompt action can help mitigate the impact of the spill until professional cleaning can be done.

How long will it take to clean my carpets?

Most jobs are completed in about 1 to 2 hours. However, the exact time can vary depending on the size and condition of the area to be cleaned. Your scheduling representative or technician can provide a more accurate estimate.

What should I do to prepare my home for carpet cleaning?

We recommend removing small items and fragile belongings from the room. It's also helpful if you can vacuum the area to be cleaned before we arrive, but this is not a requirement.

Can you clean rugs as well as carpets?

Is professional carpet cleaning better than doing it myself?

Absolutely! Professional carpet cleaners have the equipment, materials, and expertise to clean deeply and effectively. Most store-rented carpet cleaners do not have the ability to remove a high enough percentage of the water they put down. This can lead to lingering odors and potential damage to your carpets.
